«Antonia fig.a di Gio Batta Defranceschi, 1 7bre 1721» — from the A page of the baptism volume's own alphabetical index, read 21 September 2026 and magnified. (doc, for the index line.) She is a fourth child for a household this archive already had. The same index gives Gio Batta Defranceschi and Anzoletta three children — Gasparo (10 August 1718), Cattarina (10 February 1728) and Battistina (23 December 1731). Antonia of 1 September 1721 sits between the first two. (inf, on the strength of the father's name and the parish.) Her own act has not been opened. The index line carries no carta reference that this reading could make out, and this archive has learned not to trust the ones it can — of the four carta references checked from this index, one was a wrong carta, one a wrong month and one had nothing behind it.
