The family

No family chart is drawn for this person, and that is a statement about the data rather than about them. This archive records kin against a name — the tree on a name page gathers everyone who shares it, so it may hold one person's dates beside another's wife. Rather than hand a reader a family that might not be this person's, the chart is drawn only where the relationship is recorded person by person, which today means the direct line.

What the archive knows

⭐ Minted 8 October 2026 from a document David was sent by a Defranceschi. A «SMRTNI LIST» — a certified «Prepis» (transcript) of a death entry; the original is in private hands and this archive holds the photograph, which is plated on the Ližnjan page. > «U matici umrlih hrvatske Staro-katoličke župe sv. Križa u Zagrebu, svez. I, str. 13, br. 17» > > Died «jedanaestoga novembra, Hiljadu devetstotina trideset i prve» — 11 November 1931 > > «Grga Defranceschi, bravar kod sekcije Držav. željeznica u Zagrebu» — a locksmith/fitter with the State Railways section at Zagreb > > Spouse: «Marija rodj. Lovrencin, supruga mu» > > Born: «Ližnjan (Istra)» · Resident and died at: «Zagreb, Mošćenička ul. 12» > > Religion: «starokatolička» ⚠ His birth DATE is cut off at the foot of the photograph — the row «dan, mjesec i godina rodjenja» sits at the very bottom edge. A second photograph taken on 8 October has the same framing; at the edge what may be an opening «17» shows and nothing more. It is not read, and no birth year is carried here. ⚠⚠ He was an Old Catholic, not a Roman Catholic — a denomination that appears nowhere else in this archive, with its own registers. And the form itself is re-issued: the printed «KRALJEVINA JUGOSLAVIJA … Banovina Savska» is overstamped «Hrv. st. katolička Crkva · Nezavisna Država Hrvatska», and the purpose is printed across the top: «Za regulisanje penzije kod Financijske direkcije». So the copy was taken out under the NDH, between 1941 and 1945, for a pension claim on a death of 1931. (doc.)
