⭐⭐ The bride of Johann Carl Defranceschi, read from her own baptism — born at Pola in 1876, legitimised in Italy, and joined to him in 1911. «Ida Rosa Francisca», born 27 April 1876 and baptised in the Pola cathedral on 8 May 1876 (house 210, S. Martino; baptiser Joannes Barbalich, coop. par.), daughter of «Revelant Joannes Nicolaus, fil. [of —], cementarius [mason], e Tarcento in Forojulio» and «Fortis Theresia, gd. Josephi, e Mutina»; sponsors «Busoni Franciscus, cementarius» and «Morel Rosa»; midwife Catharina Juranich. The father «se declarat patrem» before the baptiser and witnesses (Franciscus Busoni and Maria Terich signed), so she was born before her parents married. Two later notes in the margin: «Legitimata per subsequens matrimonium celebratum Mutinae in Italia … Novembris 1878» (the day is written «19» and a second figure beside it; read once) and, at the foot of the entry, «Juncta est matrimonio die 10. VII. 1911 cum De Franceschi Joanne» — joined in marriage on 10 July 1911 with De Franceschi Joannes. doc. That is the marriage that the baptism of Johann Carl records from the other side (his note names the same day, the same cathedral and «Ida Revelant»); the two entries now agree on the date and the bride, and between them name both parties. Her father is from Tarcento in Friuli, the same Friulian country the Carnian Defranceschi come from; nothing in the entry connects the two families, and this archive claims none. inf, not shown by the entry: she is the «Ida née Revelant» who stands beside a Giovanni Defranceschi in the Italian IRO files of the 1947 exodus (Arolsen) — the name and the town fit, and no age is given there.
