The family
No family chart is drawn for this person, and that is a statement about the data rather than about them. This archive records kin against a name — the tree on a name page gathers everyone who shares it, so it may hold one person's dates beside another's wife. Rather than hand a reader a family that might not be this person's, the chart is drawn only where the relationship is recorded person by person, which today means the direct line.
What the archive knows
doc for the entry. An illegitimate child bears her mother's surname, so the mother was a Catharina Defranceschi; her origin is written «e Tergesto» (Trieste). Her birth, about April 1895, is not found: the Pula births index read for this archive ends in September 1894 for the D section. Open, not claimed: the Catharina Defranceschi born at Gallignana on 3 February 1869 was a servant at Pola from 1894 (her marriage of 1898, h131) and is a candidate for the mother — but that entry gives her birthplace as Gallignana, and this one «Trieste»; the two are not reconciled, and they may be two women. The second illegitimate child of the name read at Pula, after Josephus (29 February 1892, son of a servant Francisca). No one else in this archive carries this name.
