What the archive knows

Adami Giovanni > INAUG. 22 - 8 - 1920 — I COMPAGNI DI MUINA POSERO Read 29 September 2026 from David's photographs of the Carnian cemeteries. (doc.) ⚠ There are two De Franceschi Isidoro on the memorials of these valleys. This one is on the 1920 stone at Muina and therefore died in the First World War. The other is «disperso» — missing — on the «GUERRA 1940–1945» memorial, and has his own page. A name on a war memorial carries no dates, and this archive came within an hour of holding them as one man. No dates are given here because the stone gives none: only that he was dead by 22 August 1920.

No family is drawn for this name, and no record stands behind it. This archive has not placed it in a household and holds no indexed entry for it — the name reached this project through a chart, a narrative source or the family tree, and everything it does hold is below. The Register is where a record would appear if one turned up.
Identity here is by name, not by resolved individual. Where two people of one name appear in this archive they share this page, and it is for the reader to keep them apart — the surrounding text usually makes it obvious. Nothing here is new evidence; it is the same evidence, brought together.

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
