What the archive knows

Her name is «de Berzoni» in the register. The marriage act of 6 October 1793 reads «Ursulam De Berzoni»; this archive has carried her as de Benzoni, and both spellings are in its data. ⚠ Worth keeping apart from a coincidence: Joannes Baptista de Franceschi married a Catharina de Benzoni at Fiume in 1771 (work list 143). Benzoni and Berzoni may be one family or two, and nothing read so far decides it — the difference is a single letter in two different clerks' hands. Read on FamilySearch, 28 September 2026.

This archive has not placed this name in a household. What it does have is one indexed entry.
Ursula de Benzoni (Defranceschi) named on the same record Ursulam De Berzoninamed here only

This is a record, not a family. The index names these people on one page and does not say how they are related — a parent, a spouse and a godparent look identical here. Nothing above has been joined to anything.

Identity here is by name, not by resolved individual. Where two people of one name appear in this archive they share this page, and it is for the reader to keep them apart — the surrounding text usually makes it obvious. Nothing here is new evidence; it is the same evidence, brought together.

No prose mention yet

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
