This chart is the direct line and nothing else. Brothers and sisters are not drawn here: this archive records kin against a NAME rather than against a person, so the family on a name page may belong to several different people of that name. Where it is drawn it is read from the direct line, person by person.

What the archive knows

She lived eleven days, and she is the first of three this house buried in six years. > «Idem · [domus] 36 · 12 Martij [1786] · CATHAR[INA] DEFRANCESCHI ex loco · dier[um] 11 · Debilitas» (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214, M01069229, page 3 of the Gologorica death register.) Eleven days old on 12 March 1786, so born about the 1st. The book's index files her as «Catharina, Joanis Baptæ filia» — daughter of Joannes Baptista — and she died at house 36, which is his household. ⚠ Her parents are inferred from the index and the house, not stated in the entry, which gives only «ex loco». Her mother would be Catharina née Jablich of Buccari, who was about twenty that spring. The same house buried Maria Antonia at six months in July 1791 and Catharina the mother at twenty-six in May 1792. The sequence. --- ✔✔ 10 October 2026 — HER PARENTS ARE NO LONGER AN INFERENCE. A SECOND REGISTER NAMES THEM. > «36 · Die 12 Martij obijt in Domino CATHARINA filia JOANNIS BAPTÆ DE FRANCESCHI ejusque uxoris CATHARINÆ, ætatis suæ DIERUM 12, cujus corpus sepultus est in novo Cœmeterio extra locum per R. D. Joannem Konicich» (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214, M01068993, «Liber Mortuorum II», female sequence, under the year heading 1786.)* This row has said: «⚠ Her parents are inferred from the index and the house, not stated in the entry». A second death register, running in parallel, states them.

⭐ And her mother is named: Catharina. *Which is the wife of house 36, Catharina née Sablich of Bakar — so this child is hers, from the register rather than from the house. ⚠ TWO DEATH REGISTERS WERE RUNNING AT ONCE. Mortuorum II covers 1770–1789 and Mortuorum III begins 1784; both record this child, with different details and a day's difference in her age. Neither is a copy of the other. Anyone reading one of these books alone is reading half the parish's record of its own dead between 1784 and 1789.
