«D.n Stefano De Franceschi di Giuseppe, Sacerdote» — priest of the chapter of Vodnjan under the parroco Giovanni Tromba. Witnessed nineteen marriages 1819–1832, and on 26 January 1833 married a couple himself, «De Parochi lic.» — by the parish priest's licence — and again on 12 February 1833 in the church of the B. V. del Carmine. The licence formula is the register's standard wording for any deputising priest, not a personal privilege.
