The family

No family chart is drawn for this person, and that is a statement about the data rather than about them. This archive records kin against a name — the tree on a name page gathers everyone who shares it, so it may hold one person's dates beside another's wife. Rather than hand a reader a family that might not be this person's, the chart is drawn only where the relationship is recorded person by person, which today means the direct line.

What the archive knows

⭐⭐ A son of the weaver's marriage of 1774, and this archive did not have him. > 45 · «Joannes Petrus Defranceschi, filius legitimus Joannis Bapt[istæ] Defranceschi et ejus uxoris Theresiæ, baptizatus est a me Marco Bancich, Parocho hujus Loci; patrini fuerunt Rev.ᵈᵒ D. Mathias Baxa, Canonicus Titularis Cathedralis Eccl. Petinensis, et Marianna filia Domini Josephi Defranceschi. Omnes Catholicæ Religionis.» (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214, M01068965, Gologorica baptisms, 2 July 1780.)* Joannes Baptista and Theresia are the couple married on 9 June 1774 — he «q.ᵐ Leonardi filius» and a weaver, she «filia Antonij Grah ex Parochia Cherbune». This is their eldest recorded child, six years into the marriage. ⭐ And he is at HOUSE 45 — the number the house list gives the Defranceschi. ⚠ The same couple's later children are at «casa 31» in 1785 and 1787. One household, two numbers, five years apart — which is the renumbering and is recorded as a question, not an answer. ⚠ No birth date, no death, nothing after this entry. He is named for the Giovanni Pietro who died at eighty-six the following year, on the archive's reading — inf, on the forename pair and the parish.
