This chart is the direct line and nothing else. Brothers and sisters are not drawn here: this archive records kin against a NAME rather than against a person, so the family on a name page may belong to several different people of that name. Where it is drawn it is read from the direct line, person by person.

What the archive knows

A Lucia Defranceschi stands godmother at Gologorica in 1846, and this may be her. Gologorica baptisms, folio 107 (M01069121), house 2: at the baptism of Joanna née Defranceschi's child the godparents are «Josephus Selesco et Lucia Defranceschi». (doc for the entry — DAPA ZM34K-214.)* The argument is a cohort, not a document. This row is Lucia Defranceschi, born 1820 at Gračišće — twenty-six that year — and two other Defranceschi women of almost exactly her age are already known to have come out of Gračišće into Gologorica in the 1840s: Joanna (b. 1818, Gračišće house 4) and Francisca (b. 1819, house 5). (inf.) ⚠ Nothing in the entry names her father, her age or her house, and no page is rewritten on this. The section tells the cohort in full; the register that would name all three women's fathers is on ZM34K-216, the archive's first errand.
