Domenica de Franceschi (b. 1776)
Domenica de Franceschi (b. 1776), 1776. Svetvinčenat. Every mention of this name in the archive — 1 across 2 pages.
Baptised 21 January 1776, and born a twin — the second documented child of Antonio de Franceschi and Mattea. > «Ano D[o]ni 1776 die 21 Januarij S. Vincenty. Dom[enic]a filia legit[i]ma et natu[rali]s D[omi]ni Antonij Defranceschi, Matthæque ejus [conjugis], nata gemina hac nocte elapsa. Baptizata a me Archip[res]b[yter]um Antonium Massalini.» — baptisms 1764–1791, waypoint 58. Magnified and read letter by letter. The word gemina — twin — is interlineated above the line, and her father is styled D.ni, Dominus, exactly as in Franca de Franceschi (b. 1769)'s entry seven years earlier. (doc.) Her twin has not been found. The entry names only her; the sibling should be in the same or the following entry and has not yet been located. (open.) She is a sister of Franca de Franceschi (b. 1769) and of Vittorio de Franceschi, son of Antonio.

This archive holds 5 other pages under what Say Your Name reconciles as the same given name in another language — a Latin register, a Venetian clerk, a Croatian village, a Hungarian office. They are not merged and none of them is claimed to be this person: a shared name is not a shared identity, and the archive will not join one to the other by machine. It is here so that a reader looking for a man the records called Josephus can see where they wrote him Josip.

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.
A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
