Fosca Placich (m. 1779)
Fosca Placich (m. 1779), born about 1755 — estimated, not recorded. Šimuni (Simino). Every mention of this name in the archive — 2 across 4 pages.
Domenico's second wife — and the reason a 1780 godmother is not who this archive nearly said she was. (doc.) Her father is Giuseppe Placich, of the parish of Šimuni. ⚠ She is not Fusca de Franceschi. The baptism register of April 1780 gives godparents «Dominicus Defranceschi, et Fosca Uxor ejus», and this archive holds another Fusca — Matteo's daughter, married to a Jacomini of Parenzo in 1773. The 1780 wife is this woman, married fifteen months before. Two Foscas in one parish in one decade, and only the marriage register separates them. Born about 1755 — estimated from the marriage.

…28 Sept 2026 — marriage seam read to frame 85. Frames 79–85: four findings, three nils named. Antonia di q.m Giacomo marries a Carnian (7 Jan 1779); Domenico remarries as «Ved.o p.mi voti» six days later, which kills Victoria Trecento 1771×1779; Fosca Placich is a second Fosca the archive nearly conflated; Antonio still witnessing 22 Nov 1779. All four are in the Svetvinčenat line, not only here. Next: frame 86 onward — the seam runs to about frame 108 for 1790 and 149 for the volume.…
A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
