What the archive knows

Joiner, son of the retired customs guard Petar Kovačina and Uršula née Stojčić; married Marija Car at Crikvenica on 28 November 1895 (entry 28, doc), by leave of the Hungarian Ministry of National Defence. A daughter Josipa died at 18 months on 10 September 1898 (deaths 1898, entry 49, doc). The Geni World Family Tree names him as the father of Uršula Kovačina (lore); her baptism of 1895 names no father, so the paternity is inf. Told in Ursula's people.

No family is drawn for this name, and no record stands behind it. This archive has not placed it in a household and holds no indexed entry for it — the name reached this project through a chart, a narrative source or the family tree, and everything it does hold is below. The Register is where a record would appear if one turned up.
Identity here is by name, not by resolved individual. Where two people of one name appear in this archive they share this page, and it is for the reader to keep them apart — the surrounding text usually makes it obvious. Nothing here is new evidence; it is the same evidence, brought together.

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
