Bembo
A family that married into this one.
Anna, daughter of the Nobil Signor Tommaso Bembo of Valle, married Petrus Defranceschi of Gologorica on 22 January 1795, the three publications of banns dispensed with by the bishop of Parenzo. It is the only marriage this archive holds that takes the name into a Venetian patrician house.
What is held
- Anna Bembo, born 5 July 1779, wife of Petrus Defranceschi (b. 17 April 1768, d. 1829). Her birth year was on David's tree; the day and month come from the Gologorica status animarum of 1826, which also confirms the marriage. (doc.)
- Tommaso Bembo, her father, styled «N. Sig.r» — Nobil Signor — in the Valle marriage entry of 1795. Nothing else is known of him here.
- Hermenegildus Defranceschi, their son, born 4 October 1803 — new to this archive on 30 September 2026.
Searched beyond the parish books
The household was split across the border. A brace in the 1826 census against Anna's row and her son's reads «In partibus Venetias … habitant» — they live in the Venetian parts, while Petrus is entered at Gologorica. That is the first thing this archive has learned about the marriage after the wedding day itself.
