Chersin
A family that married into this one.
Domenica Chersin was the wife of Natale Defranceschi, in a household recorded at Pula (h034) and again at Fažana (h035), mother of Vittorio Giovanni (born 1849) and Angelo (born 1851). The archive's marriage index counts eight indexed marriages with the surname Chersin and groups it as Venetian by its form, which the archive itself calls «a reading, not a finding»; the one Chersin it has placed lived in Austrian Istria.
- Her birth is unknown. The year 1851 was carried as her birth year and was corrected on 13 September 2026: it is the year she first appears, in the baptism of her eldest known child.
- Two of the three entries are the household list (Pula h034, Fažana h035), index only; the third is from David's tree and sits at Draguč. The archive's own note on the tree entry ties her to the household of 1849–1851.
- An open question hangs on her family: whether the Angelo Defranceschi, 63, of via del Prato, Pola, who was taken to the hospital in November 1914, is her son Angelo, born 1851. It is an inference and is labelled one.
- Forebears counts 109 living bearers of the surname in the world: Italy 65, United States 20, Romania 14, Croatia 7.
3 person pages in the archive under the surname Chersin, or for someone married to a bearer of it. How each is known, in the archive's own words: Household 2 · Family tree 1. Only the dead are listed here, and the dates are the archive's: none is added.
Domenica Chersin
Three entries for the same household of 1849–1851: the Pula and Fažana household lists, and David's tree. The archive does not establish that three entries are one woman beyond the tree entry's own note.

The open question names what would settle her son's identity: the Pola burial register, for his age and village at death, and the Fažana baptism book for 1851, for his parents.
