Anna Bembo (Defranceschi)

Documented 30 September 2026; she had been carried on the family tree alone, with an empty note. The 1826 status animarum of Gologorica enters her in house 1 as «Anna Mater nata Bembo», born 5 July 1779 — which agrees with the year already on the tree and adds the day and month. She married Petrus Defranceschi on 21 January 1795; their son Hermenegildus was born 4 October 1803. A brace in the margin against her row and her son's reads «In partibus Venetias … habitant» — they live in the Venetian parts. She was a Bembo of Valle (Bale) on the west coast, and the household was not wholly at Gologorica. This is the same marriage the archive already knew from the other end. The Valle register, quoted in the «Atti» of the Centro di ricerche storiche di Rovigno, has «il Sig.r Piero De Franceschi da Gollogorizza» marrying «la Sig.ra Anna figlia del N. Sig.r Tommaso Bembo» on 22 January 1795. The home parish now confirms it to within one day — and a one-day gap between a marriage register and a household census copying it out decades later is ordinary.
