No family is drawn for this name — this archive has not placed it in a household and holds no indexed entry that names it beside anybody else. A record does stand behind it: the one below, not joined to any household. The Register is where an index entry would appear if one turned up.
The same name, written another way

This archive holds 5 other pages under what Say Your Name reconciles as the same given name in another language — a Latin register, a Venetian clerk, a Croatian village, a Hungarian office. They are not merged and none of them is claimed to be this person: a shared name is not a shared identity, and the archive will not join one to the other by machine. It is here so that a reader looking for a man the records called Josephus can see where they wrote him Josip.

Identity here is by name, not by resolved individual. Where two people of one name appear in this archive they share this page, and it is for the reader to keep them apart — the surrounding text usually makes it obvious. Nothing here is new evidence; it is the same evidence, brought together.

…This archive published 21 July 1761 and recorded that the tree said 1762, keeping its own figure because the archive's came «off the register». The 1826 census gives the date outright. «Jacobus Defranceschi· civilitas· 21· Julii· 1762» (M01069323) The row's own reasoning was right and pointed the wrong way. It argued that a one-year gap of this shape is «one year of arithmetic apart, not one of evidence» — because a record giving…

…both provably wrong about the husband. The two-men case is not withdrawn. It is moved to where it was always strongest and where nothing has been re-read: 1752–53 — «Francisca uxor Jacobi Defranceschi» on 6 February 1753 against «Jacobus Defranceschi, et Pascasia ejus uxor» in one joint phrase on 29 April 1753, ten weeks apart, with Pascasia bearing his children in 1746, 1747 and 1750. (inf, and unchanged in strength — but it no longer draws on 1743, and the page said 1743 was what settled…

And on 29 April 1753 the register writes «patrini fuerunt, Jacobus Defranceschi, et Pascasia ejus uxor» — husband and wife in one phrase, in one hand. Pascasia also bears Jacobo three children in full parental entries, 1746, 1747 and 1750. Caspar's wife, six times over between 1744 and 1749, is Maria. So the two…

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
