Raimund Johann Defranceschi
Raimund Johann Defranceschi, 1871. Pola. Every mention of this name in the archive — 1 across 3 pages.
⭐⭐ The first child of the navy servant Johann Defranceschi — born at Pola in October 1871, married (a note says) in 1927. Born at Pola on 19 October 1871, baptised there on 12 November 1871 — «Raimund Johann», son of «Defranceschi Johann, k.k. Marinediener 4. Cl.» and «Paula Petra, ehel. Tochter des Peter Rocco, Besitzers aus Pola in Istrien»; godparents a «Giov. Peth…» [uncertain] and «Domenico Bonanno»; baptised by Johann Germeck, Marine-Curat; midwife Maria Zimprich; a margin note «Ausg. 19/2 91, Nr. 230» records a certificate issued on 19 February 1891. A later note under the father's entry reads «Iunctus est matrimonio in par. S. Ant. Taum. (Trieste [uncertain]) die 21-12-27 cum Sofia Kiroly [surname uncertain]» — the date is 21 December 1927, the year's last digit overwritten (Pola k.u.k. naval parish baptism book 1863–1876, image 182; doc). He is the first child of Johann and Paula Pietra of h132, born nine months after their marriage of 16 January 1871 (the father is «Marinediener 4. Cl.», as at the marriage). The note makes him about 56 at a marriage in 1927 — plausibly a second marriage; the parish named (St Anthony Thaumaturgus, which is Trieste's «Sant'Antonio Taumaturgo») and the bride's surname need a look at the Trieste marriage register.

This person has not been written up in an essay yet — most often read straight off a register page that no index anywhere contains. What is known is at the top, and the pages linked above are where the finding sits.
A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
