the direct line, argued on the line

This chart is the direct line and nothing else. Brothers and sisters are not drawn here: this archive records kin against a NAME rather than against a person, so the family on a name page may belong to several different people of that name. Where it is drawn it is read from the direct line, person by person.

What the archive knows

⭐⭐ 11 October 2026 — he married twice, and the census marks the children of each. > Gologorica Status Animarum 1862 (M01069447): «Maria n. Flegar», n. 4 Apr 1842, d. 28 Sept 1882; then «Maria Udovičić · II. uxor», n. 28 Sept 1857, m. 3 April 1883; then «Antonius Leopoldus filius · ex II. votis», n. 29 Jan 1884. Six months a widower. The household is told here. (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214, M01069447, Gologorica Status Animarum 1862.) --- Born 22 January 1847, baptised the 23rd — and his death written into the margin seventy years later. Gologorica baptisms, folio 108 (M01069122), house 5: «LEONARDUS natus heri», of «Antonius Defranceschi» and «Francisca nata Defranceschi»; and beneath the entry, in a twentieth-century hand, «† 20.XII.1917». (doc — DAPA ZM34K-214.)* This archive already held 1847–1917 off the family tree, with an empty note. Verification, not discovery — but both years are now exact days, and the second of them comes from a register keeper who went back to a seventy-year-old page to close it. His father is the Antonius whom the 1826 census showed to be Leonardus's adopted nephew — so he is named for the great-uncle who took his father in. His sisters are Teresia (1843) and Maria (1845).
