Medulin
Four records at the southern tip, and a Maria Defranceschi whose children married Voinich.
Medulin is the third of the southern-tip parishes, with Ližnjan and Premantura, and its books open in 1648.
Four records of the name, and they are marriages rather than baptisms: Josephus Grahalich in 1828 and Martinus Rakich in 1831, both weddings in which a Maria Defranceschi and an Antonius Voinich stand as the bride's parents; and Lucas Kivac in 1874, whose mother is a Maria Defranceschi married to Petrus Kivac.
Which means the De Franceschi presence here is visible only through daughters — the surname never appears on a child of the name, only on the mothers of other families' children. It is the clearest small example of what the lost-daughters queue was built to catch.
