⭐⭐⭐ FOUND IN THE MEDULIN DEATH REGISTER, 12 October 2026 — and he was tree-only until that morning. Medulin «Liber Defunctorum» (HDA inv. br. 158), page 12, year 1833, entry 43: «Mathæus Defranceschi q. Ant. fil. miles», died 19 December 1833, aged 40, of «chronicus morb[us]». Forty in December 1833 gives a birth about 1793, which is the year the family tree already carried. He is called miles — a soldier — which the tree did not know, and he is «q. Ant.», son of a dead Antonio.
⚠ This was a VERIFICATION, not a discovery. This row already carried the ark 3:1:3QS7-L99X-KCP6 — the very frame the entry is on. The lead was in the archive's own roster and nobody had opened it.
⚠⚠ HE IS NOT THE LIŽNJAN MAN, and the two must not be joined. The Ližnjan «deto Marulin» groom of 1815 was still alive to be buried at Ližnjan in 1839, as an agricola. This man was dead by December 1833, and a soldier. Two men called Mattheus, each the son of an Antonio, four kilometres apart, both dying at forty, six years apart. That coincidence is exactly the shape of a false join, and it is refused here.
⚠⚠ DUPLICATE, resolved 12 October 2026. The tree gave this child a birth year that the register contradicts, and the archive already held him under another id.
He was one of seventeen Ližnjan people resting on the family tree and no document, carrying «1891–1891». He is not a separate child.
Ližnjan «Liber Defunctorum», page 108, entry 7 of 1891, house 3:
> «mort. 18 Febr., sepul. 19 ejusdem, 1891» — «Mathæus Defranceschi, Mathæi et Annæ Skoko» — cathol., mascol., «nat. 25/1 90».
Born 25 January 1890, dead 18 February 1891 — a year and three weeks. Waypoint 9R2Z-4WG, frame 58.
The birth year here was 1891 and is now 1890, as the register writes it.
⚠ THESE TWO ROWS ARE ONE CHILD. math-us-defranceschi-1890 came from the burial index; mattheus-defranceschi-1891 came from the MyHeritage tree with the birth year a year out. The register settles it: born 25 January 1890. Ids are minted once and frozen, so both rows stand and the join is written on each — the archive's practice when a duplicate is found, because a deleted id is a dead URL.
This archive holds 10 other pages under what Say Your Name reconciles as the same given name in another language — a Latin register, a Venetian clerk, a Croatian village, a Hungarian office. They are not merged and none of them is claimed to be this person: a shared name is not a shared identity, and the archive will not join one to the other by machine. It is here so that a reader looking for a man the records called Josephus can see where they wrote him Josip.

…on 12 October 2026, and the archive cannot yet answer it. Medolino is Medulin, five kilometres down the cape from Ližnjan. Two things point there and neither is proof. First, the only two people this roster places at Medulin are tree-only — «Mattheus Defranceschi b. 1793 d. 1833» and «Antonio Defranceschi b. 1819» — and those dates are the Ližnjan founders: the 1815 groom was 21, so born about 1794, and the baptism book has an Antonio born 15 September 1819. The tree says Medulin; the registers say Ližnjan;…

A dossier is every mention of a name anywhere in this archive's data, gathered automatically and linked back to the page it appears on, with what the archive knows about the person set out at the top. Identity here is by NAME, not by resolved individual: where two people share a name they share a dossier, and the archive says so rather than guessing. Rebuilt from the roster, so every person the archive can name has a page — including the ones read straight off a register that no index anywhere contains.
